I received a request for an interview for a potential job from this company as they had seen my resume online. I was available for an interview which turned out to be done by chat via Google Hangouts. I was asked to submit a copy of my drivers license and proof of mailing address. The next day, I received an offer letter for the position. As I had never spoken with anyone directly, I decided to contact the company directly to verify the validity of the position and the offer. It was then that I learned that someone was masquerading as a legitimate company and HR person to attempt this scam. The person stated that this had been reported and that they were making efforts to notify people of the scam.
