C3 molding injection

I got a job offer on zip recruiter from a company named c3 molding injection for an office assistant. Making $21 an hour..they had me do a phone interview and called me back the next morning to say I got the job. They also said that I would come in the following week to sign my hire on paperwork and W2’s. Everything seemed legit, but what threw it off was them saying in the meantime they would be sending me a check for $2300.00 to purchase office supplies for the new office opening up on nov 1st and needed my address. I knew it was a scam because a legitimate Employer doesn’t send a check to someone without meeting your new “employee” first face to face. I called the bank that the check was written out from and they told me that it was a scam and they had multiple people calling in about the same type of situation. Plus this job was suppose to be in Orange, California and the check was from Georgia.
