Catalog of federal domestic assistance spoof

Received a text msge from Facebook friend who has never texted me before. Told me she had received a cheque from CFDA . Asked me if I had received my cheque because she saw my name on the list andCould give me the file# to ask them about it. Said she received $96,000. That and the fact that she called me "my dear" which she would never do, tipped me off. I deleted the Chat, but "she" came back with a phone number to call 906 661 3406. I did not call. Looked up CFDA and found the scam.
