Charlie

I am a contractor and I was contacted a couple days ago via text message by someone called Charlie asking if I do decks and patio construction. After a brief conversation I agreed to have a look at the address he provided and he said he would give me a deposit to secure a place in my schedule. All of this was fine until he asked for my banking info so he could give me a mobile deposit. I had not heard of this type of payment and told him I would not give him my banking info. I gave him the option of email money transfer or send an actual cheque in the mail. He refused and told me to trust him and he would do mobile deposit. I blocked his number as I had a bad feeling about him. Today I was sent a text from a different number saying his name was Charkie and asking if I do deck and patio construction. I googled the phone numbers and discovered one is from Boston and one from Illinois. Seems to coincidental to not be the same guy. I’m convinced it’s a scam.

Yes it is. Based on the user review published on PropertyFraud.com, it is strongly advised to avoid Charlie in any dealing and transaction.
Not really. In spite of the review published here, there has been no response from Charlie. Lack of accountability is a major factor in determining trust.
Because unlike PropertyFraud.com, other websites get paid to remove negative reviews and replace them with fake positive ones.
Charlie is rated 1 out of 5 based on the reviews submitted by our users and is marked as POOR.
