Johanna Alaniz

Someone going by the name of “Johanna Alaniz” is reaching out to individuals interested in renting in the greater Seattle area. They found my phone number from a renters app/website and texted me about an apartment that they had for rent, stating that their mother owned the place but had since moved out and that they were looking for someone to rent out the extra room for a fairly cheap price. They stated that they were in school on the other side of the country (New York specifically) and sent me an address of a rental, including pictures of the supposed place and a picture of their ID (which I believe is a false ID). They asked for a $500 deposit and $500 monthly rent, including utilities, sent me a rental questionnaire and an 11 page lease agreement and stated that they were going through a lawyer. There was no one available to show me the place. Upon looking, I found the same address on various renters websites, but the apartment looked extremely different than the pictures that this person sent to me via email. When I texted them about the apartment that I found online with the same address, they did not respond back.
